FullSizeRenderIt really is as easy as 1-2-3! Meal Prep is the KEY to convenience, portion control (if needed) and healthy eating.  These “overnight oats” mason jar breakfast meals are packed full of nutrients that will help balance your blood sugar & lower cholesterol (whole grains), provide anti-inflammatory support (cinnamon), supply a healthy dose of protein (protein powder, chia seeds) as well as omega-3 fatty acids (chia). And ALL of it, is plant based, which means it is fibre-packed! It will also keep you full until lunch.

Put down the donut or pastry! Opt for something just as tasty, but something that also gives back.

Make sure you have your 250 ml mason jars cleaned, opened and ready to go & ingredients out. Mise en place, tout le monde…

Ingredients & Method of Madness:

Stack in the following order: cinamon

1/4 cup quick oats

Enough water to cover oats

1 tbsp protein powder of choice

1 tsp chia seeds

1/2 ripe banana sliced or fruit of choice. You can use frozen berries, sliced apple, homemade fruit purée

1/4 tsp cinnamon

Enough water to fill the rest of the jar

 

Now all you have to do, is cover and refrigerate. Grab & go each morning. Perfect for a quick morning meal or even to take to the office! All you have to do is unscrew lid, scoop into a bowl,  and eat! If you want you can heat the mixture as well, splash with almond or soy milk, whatever you choose. I simply scoop, stir & serve.
