Watermelon: the perfect summer fruit. It’s naturally sweet, hydrating, and FULL of nutrients. Watermelon has the highest concentration of lycopene of all the fruit and vegetables in existence. This nutrient is thought to act as a super antioxidant, stopping free radicals from damaging your cells and compromising your immune system. Some research even suggests that lycopene, may help fight heart disease as well as several types of cancer.
