Tofu seasoned and cooked right makes a crispy and tasty bacon substitute. Here is the secret for making a delicious T.L.T. !

Ingredients:

– 3-5  thinly sliced organic smoked tofu strips

– sprinkle of sea salt

– black pepper to-taste

– 1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke

– 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup

– 1 tsp coconut oil for frying

Directions:

– marinate the tofu in maple syrup, liquid smoke, salt & pepper Photo2

– melt coconut oil in cast iron pan (I use cast iron because it adds natural iron to your food)

– fry tofu bacon until crispy ( you may add more maple syrup for tofu to absorb while frying if you wish)

– serve with whole grain of choice on a bed of lettuce & tomato (I like to use raw spinach, add avocado, onion & vegenaise as well)
